Fashion Wishlist | ASOS

I want to start a fashion wishlist section on this blog where I can lust over things from certain brands and come back to for style inspiration. I'm going to start with ASOS as they sell pretty much every brand and everything. I know that sometimes ASOS can be a little bit more pricey for an item that you can get elsewhere, however, I think it is super convenient to shop all on the one site and have free shipping over $55aud.

I'm on the hunt for a new pair of sandal as my old Topshop ones have been worn to death and really need to be thrown out. These remind me of the classic windsor smith ones however I think they are more dainty, which will suit my smaller ankles, and also are less common than windsor smith!

My style at the moment is quite simple, and with uni starting next month, I want some simple tees that I can pair with different things. The 2 pack is really good value as well, I'm pretty sure a single is $17 so this is almost the same price!

This dress isn't really appropriate for the time of year in Australia as it is way too hot, however, it would look super cute in winter with a pair of boots. This dress is reduced from $60 to $42.

I love playsuits because they are comfortable yet effortless - you don't have to worry about flashing anyone and you chuck them on and voila! you look put together. This one is super cute and is reduced from $66 to $39 - almost 50% off! Would be super cute paired with the sandals above.

Not fashion related but elegant touch nails are available on ASOS which is great as the range sold in Priceline is very limited. These are currently reduced from $9 to $6.30 along with a whole load of other designs. I love the totally bare ones as you can paint them whatever colour you want, they look nicer than my natural nails and they tend to last longer. I also think it's easier to paint fake nails rather than your actual ones!

Kiko Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick Review

I was on exchange in France over christmas in 2013 and bought a silver one of these as a secret santa present for a friend. I'd never heard of the brand, I just bought it purely because she was after a silver eyeshadow. Later, I learned of the brand and heard good things about their eyeshadow sticks and since I've been so upset that I didn't pick one up for myself (I don't think Kiko is available in Australia).

Anyway, I was super happy to find a store in London and I rushed in and picked up the Long Lasting Stick in the colours 04 - Golden Chocolate, 05 - Rosy Brown and 06 - Golden Brown.

The colour applies smoothly and is extremely pigmented. I like to glide the colour all over my lid, blend it out and then use a darker shadow in my crease to add some depth. It's a really easy, but pretty, eye look. The product is super blendable after you apply it however sets and then does not budge at all. I swatched the colours in the store and then couldn't get them off my hand, even with a makeup wipe. They product definitely lasts 8 hours, as it promises, so overall I'm extremely pleased that I finally own them!

Have you tried any other Kiko products?

Brand Focus | Essie

These are some of my favourite Essie polishes (from left to right)

The Girls are Out
This didn't photograph well, but the shade is a vibrant fuchsia with flecks of shimmer through it. It has a jelly like finish and adds a really nice pop of colour to the nails. The formula is really great, it applies really well and is opaque in one coat.

Mint Candy Apple
A blogger favourite - a really lovely bright colour for spring and summer.

Fiji
This nail polish has mixed reviews. Many people complain that the formula is no good and its very streaky - and I completely agree. However, I took this to a nail salon and the lady did my nails with it and it wasn't streaky at all?! So I guess with the right technique it is good haha. I love the colour too much to hate the formula, so I'm determined to learn how to apply it as well as the lady who did my nails.

Sunday Funday
Super bright colour, perfect for summer and has a really slight shimmer to it which is really pretty. This is the colour I've turned to the most as it really suits my darker skin tone, and would look really nice with a tan.

Fill the Gap Base Coat
I've developed a ridge in one of my thumb nails after being really sick with pneumonia. So when I saw this I thought I'd try it out. I was quite impressed with this base coat. It doesn't completely get rid of the ridge in my nail, but it definitely evens out the nail and gives a good base for applying polish. It's like the foundation of nail polishes. I find that when I apply my colour the ridge is almost not noticeable.

Benefit Brow Zings Review

This kit comes with pigmented wax, a shading/setting powder, a mini angled brush for the wax, a mini blending brush for the powder, and also a mini set of tweezer for any nasty strays! It comes in a super thin, handy case, perfect for on the go!

I use the angled brush with the wax to shape my brows, and I love that it's pigmented (it's not very strong, but thats why I like it) and defines your brows. Then using the blending brush I use the powder to fill my brows and make them look more full. This powder is definitely more pigmented than the wax and a little goes a long way, which is good as the compact will last a long time. I've used this kit every day for the whole year and I've barely scraped the top of it - so I'm sure it will last a while!

Overall I really love this kit as it really sets your brows in place, and you don't have to worry about rubbing your eyes because your brows won't smudge. I've often gone to bed without wiping off my makeup (I know...naughty) and I've woken up with my brow game still strong haha

What is your eyebrow holy grail product?

Happy New Year!

I can't believe 2015 is over - it seems to have flown by. It was definitely a challenging one, with final exams and finishing high school. It's been so lovely having the last month to relax and rest after studying, but this little break seems to have flown by too and suddenly it's 2016.

I'm not really one for new years resolutions...I find that I never stick to them. Goals, however, seem more realistic. One of my goals this year is to be more tidy. I'd heard about Marie Kondo's magic approach to tidying and when I saw this gorgeous edition of her book 'The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying' I had to get it. I'm a very organised person, in fact, I love organising! However I always seem to manage to get my room into a mess and am forever tidying it up. I'm sure people can relate. I often find this really frustrating and disheartening and it can seriously affect my mood in a negative way.

I read Marie's book over the Christmas break (it was a super easy read so it didn't take long) and my goal is to follow her advice. A lot of it makes so much sense, and I can't wait to follow her guide and be more tidy. There are some things I don't think I entirely agree with, but I think that's ok. I think I've got some good advice out of it that will help me keep my room in order - fingers crossed!

Have you read 'The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying'? What were your thoughts?
