These are some of my favourite Essie polishes (from left to right)
The Girls are Out
This didn't photograph well, but the shade is a vibrant fuchsia with flecks of shimmer through it. It has a jelly like finish and adds a really nice pop of colour to the nails. The formula is really great, it applies really well and is opaque in one coat.
Mint Candy Apple
A blogger favourite - a really lovely bright colour for spring and summer.
Fiji
This nail polish has mixed reviews. Many people complain that the formula is no good and its very streaky - and I completely agree. However, I took this to a nail salon and the lady did my nails with it and it wasn't streaky at all?! So I guess with the right technique it is good haha. I love the colour too much to hate the formula, so I'm determined to learn how to apply it as well as the lady who did my nails.
Sunday Funday
Super bright colour, perfect for summer and has a really slight shimmer to it which is really pretty. This is the colour I've turned to the most as it really suits my darker skin tone, and would look really nice with a tan.
Fill the Gap Base Coat
I've developed a ridge in one of my thumb nails after being really sick with pneumonia. So when I saw this I thought I'd try it out. I was quite impressed with this base coat. It doesn't completely get rid of the ridge in my nail, but it definitely evens out the nail and gives a good base for applying polish. It's like the foundation of nail polishes. I find that when I apply my colour the ridge is almost not noticeable.
